Public Service Water Notices

The Linne Community Service District does not take a position on the various plans that are being considered to address the problems of available well water in the area.  However, as a public service we will post updates on this website.  It is important that residents stay informed and communicate to public officials and other organizations who are involved in trying to find the best ways to manage our water basin.

Notices will be posted in the order they were received.

Leaders to Introduce Emergency Drought Legislation
With California facing its worst water shortage in modern history, legislative leaders and Governor Brown announced  legislation that seeks to provide $687.4 million to help communities combat devastatingly dry conditions.Furthermore, the Legislature is currently circulating a number of water bond proposals, one of which may be placed on the November 2014 ballot.  Track the Legislature’s progress on specific water issues by visiting CSDA’sLegislative Toolbox.Lastly, the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee is currently conducting a series of local informational hearings throughout the state. The purpose of these hearings is to gain local perspective on the need for a general obligation bond in 2014, which would help fund water-related projects, and discuss the public benefits with communities throughout the state. To find more information on these hearings, please visit the committee’s water bond website.
